AIMS SUMMARY
                     SOCIAL CAPITAL


                    SOCIAL EMPOWERMENT
                        KPI 1 | Community Infrastructure Constructed and Maintained
                              To track the development of community and cultural facilities in areas surrounding the reserve.
                        KPI 2 | Child Survival Rate

                              To track infant mortality and child survival rate.
                        KPI 3 | School Enrollment
                              To educate and encourage community leaders and parents about the importance of school attendance, and to
                              track enrollment in neighbouring communities.
                        KPI 4 | Employment
                              To maximise and prioritise the employment out of surrounding communities when addressing the
                              vacancies generated in Karingani.
                        KPI 5 | Quality Learning

                              To educate and create awareness for the local school communities on the importance  of wildlife
                              conservation, environmental management, human wildlife conflict and ecotourism.
                        KPI 6 | Adult Survival Rate
                              To promote health in communities on the perimeter of Karingani, which will help secure the future success of
                              the program.
                        KPI 7 | Community Water Provision
                              To assist and promote the provision of water in our immediate neighbouring communities.
                        KPI 8 | Community Healthcare Support
                              Improved healthcare and access to healthcare for our immediate neighbouring communities.
                        KPI 9 | Farming and Livestock Support
                              Proving assistance towards sustainable water points for community cattle, to ensure the continued
                              maintenance of this important strategic section of economic activity.

                    STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
                        KPI 1 | Community Ambassadors
                              To educate the neighbouring community population of approximately 18,573 people on the merits of alternative
                              economies to the illegal poaching of wildlife. The alternate industries include tourism and agriculture.
                        KPI 2 | Community Relations and Activities
                              To fulfill our vision and obligation to uplift our immediate neighbouring communities and set an example for
                              the rest of Mozambique and Africa.
                        KPI 3 | Community Constitution

                              To ensure alignment with the vision for Karingani and to develop a set of transparent relationships with
                              the local communities surrounding Karingani. A community constitution has been drafted to create a
                              spirit of partnership, trust, and shared values.
                        KPI 4 | Addressing Human Wildlife Conflict
                              Human wildlife conflict has a potential impact on community relations. Karingani intends to
                              compensate for crops and livestock losses.
                        KPI 5 | Fundraise Initiatives
                              To maintain a good relationship between Karingani and our immediate neighbouring communities
                              by providing the necessary life skills, food security and employment to ensure their well-being.
