RESULTS
KPI 2 | REDUCED WATER CONSUMPTION
In line with our targets to support water efficiency, this reporting period has seen data collection towards establishing
baselines of current water consumption for their consideration and potential reduction in the future. Our intent is to
increase the resolution by sub-metering in the upcoming reporting periods to ensure a better understanding of the
water consumption per activity, with the goal of efficient and sustainable use. Given there is insufficient global data to
set a benchmark of water consumption levels for the specific landscape conservation activities Karingani undergoes,
the intent is to record consumption annually in order to establish our own benchmark levels of consumption, that will
then guide and direct the necessary interventions required to improve sustainability. This is expected to be in the
form of both reduced consumption activities and sustainable collection methods. As we develop this on an annual
basis we expect to see more analysis to the effects of intervention versus the simple recording of consumption data.
