Franklin each netting twice along with Emilia Heyes.
       Southern Region League
It was League Cup day on Sunday but Premier Division leaders Abingdon Utd's hopes of
lifting the trophy were ended when they were beaten 2-1 by Ascot Utd, for whom Hayley
Cruickshank scored both goals. Bournemouth Sports meanwhile edged past Abingdon
Town with a 3-2 victory, courtesy of strikes from Lauren Brewer, Liane Folkenstern and Rosie
Eden. Eversley & California claimed a higher division scalp, Rae Roberts and Joanne
Harfield scoring as they beat Winchester City Flyers 2-1, Sharna Capel-Watson replying.
Freya Harris hit a hat-trick, with Amy Leach and Katie Riddington adding the others, as
Wycombe Wanderers won 5-1 at Milton Utd and Eastleigh defeated Woking Ladies 3-1
thanks to Catherine Browning, Lani Dickinson and Sophie Keenan. Lauren Harper scored the
only goal, sixteen minutes from time, to earn AFC Stoneham a 1-0 win at Badshot Lea.
With Milton on League Cup duty, Woodley Utd took the opportunity to replace them as
Division One North leaders as they scored seven without reply past Caversham Utd. May
Hamblin bagged a hat-trick, Gemma Sims added two while Sarah Lawrence and Mollie Haines
were also on target. Penn & Tyler's Green and Long Crendon went into their meeting with
ten draws between them so far this season, so perhaps it was no surprise when the match ended
       goalless.
Rushmoor Community stepped up their challenge in Division One South by beating
Selsey Women Development 3-2. Louise Ekins, Lisa Cooper and Gemma Bennett netted a
goal apiece to help take Rushmoor up to third. Isobel Saunders, Lauren Timbrell and Jessica
Tripp all got on the scoresheet as Abbey Rangers lifted themselves off the bottom with a 3-0
       victory over Chichester City.
       West Midlands League
Shrewsbury Town received a setback to their title challenge when they were held to a 3-3
draw by Coundon Court, who registered their first point as a result. Olivia Brown, Alisha
Higginson and Sophie Shale were all on target for Coundon, whilst the Shrews netted through
Madison Jones, Sarah Lowden and Libby Veitch. Naomi Melbourne and Lauren Smith each
bagged braces, with Dionne Williams and Alysha Stanley adding the others, as Solihull
Sporting defeated Redditch Utd 6-0 and Lichfield City were 3-1 winners over Burton
       Albion.
Tamworth have moved into the top three in Division One North after edging out
Coventry City by the odd goal in seven, Catherine Harris hitting a hat-triciik and Lexie Tarrant
the other. Natasha Baptiste was another hat-trick scorer, with Emma Baggott also on target, as
Walsall Wood beat Port Vale 4-1 to stay in touch with the leading sides and Lichfield City
Res kept up their improved form with a second straight win, 5-1 at Wyrley Ladies thanks to
Amelia Lightfoot (2), Emma Alexander (2) and Alicia Fearing-Duda.
Coventry Sphinx are the new leaders of Division One South after they defeated Long
Itchington 6-0. Kirsty Farnsworth and Milly Miller each scored twice, with Angel Scandrett
and Sophie Wilson also on target. Bewdley Town won 5-1 against Rugby Town and are up
into third place, just ahead of Droitwich Spa who were 4-1 victors over Rugby Borough
thanks to Shannon Roberts (2), Chloe Culwick and Sydney Harris.
League leaders Kidderminster Harriers progressed in the League Cup, Sarah Hazell
scoring the only goal of the game as they beat Sutton Coldfield Town 1-0. Also through are
Crusaders, 2-1 winners over Lye Town thanks to Rachael Dyson and Kirsty Spencer.
AFC Telford Utd went through in the Division One Cup after scoring six times without
reply past Kingfisher. Megan Jones netted a brace and she was joined on the scoresheet by Abi
Beady, Jaime Duggan, Romillie Evans and Jessica Sayers. Knowle also took their place in the
next round but were pushed all the way in their 3-2 victory over Worcester City
Development as goals from Morgan Betteridge, Marian Byrne and Jessica Holland saw them
       through.
