Clapton Community have returned to the top of Division One North on goal difference
after they won 4-1 at Leatherhead. Marta Casanovas, Maria Mendonca, Larissa Costa Vieira
and Marta Perez all scored for Clapton, with Megan Button replying.
One game was also played in Division One South, Welling Utd going fourth in the table
with a twelve-goal blast against Maidstone Utd. Sarah White led the scoring with a hat-trick
and the others came from Shay Bennett (2), Amy Panayi (2), Grace Laverick (2), Abi Potter-
Scarborough, Natalie Crinean and Maddie Bone.
Whyteleafe advanced to the Second Round of the League Trophy with a 5-3 victory over
Bromley FC Women. Abigail Woolivin and Rebecca Keyte each netted twice and Echo Barrett
the other, whilst Terri-Ann Warren hit a hat-trick in reply for Bromley. Rebecca Janes and Jade
Steadman accounted for the goals as Ashford Utd won 2-0 at Montpelier Villa and
Newhaven were 5-1 winners against Steyning Town Community, courtesy of a goal apiece
from Katie Franks, Charlotte Markham, Jessica Mead, Lucy Collinson and Emily Salisbury.
North East League
Wallsend Boys Club were unable to take an opportunity to close the gap on league leaders
Chester-le-Street Town when they went down to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sunderland
West End. Second half goals from Nicole O'Hara and Alex Ross earned West End a result which
takes them up in to fourth place, whilst Wallsend's consolation came from Nicole Dack.
Washington Women are continuing to stretch the pace at the top of the Northern
Division, thanks to an 8-2 victory over Hartlepool Pools Youth. Hannah Dixon and Jessica
Cook both hit hat-tricks for Washington, with Hannah Windsor and Beth White adding the
others, whilst Abbie Blackwood netted twice in reply. Second placed Wallsend BC Res
meanwhile defeated Hartlepool Utd 4-0 to stay on Washington's heels, Rachel Hepple scoring
twice along with Samantha Deverdics and Millie McKenna. Spennymoor Town won 8- 3away
to West Allotment Celtic and this has lifted them up to fourth place. Autumn Colledge bagged
a hat-trick for Spennymoor and she was joined on the scoresheet by Courtney Mole, Hannah
Knox, Katy Hemmingway, Megan Foster and Lily-Mae Jackson. Emma Wright (2), Ellie Geary,
Katie Smith and Natasha Napier accounted for the goals as Bishop Auckland ran out 5-1
winners over Guisborough Town.
The teams in the top half of the Southern Division table but in the two matches that did take
place, there were a total of 24 goals. Eight different players were on the scoresheet as Farsley
Celtic Juniors won 10-4 against Sheffield Utd Community Foundation and this has
taken them up into mid-table; Sarah Lawn and Charlotte Pardoe each netting twice along with
Jasmin Cooper, Katie Handley, Shauna Hill, Ffion Jones, Tara Nolan and Julia Woods. Shannon
Coughlan meanwhile hit a hat-trick for United, whose other goal came from Lydia Harrison.
Chloe Bethell was on target four times as Ripon City won 6-4 away to Sheffield Wednesday,
Georgie Taylor and Elizabeth Weatherill adding the others whilst Amy Broomhead (2), Brooke
Swann and Eleanor Vessey replied for the home side.
North West League
Salford City Lionesses have taken over at the top of the Premier Division following their 1-1
draw against Darwen FC Women, who have moved off the bottom of the table. Salford now
lead the table by a point from FC United of Manchester, who did not play, and Curzon
Ashton, 1-0 winners over Cheadle Town Stingers. Tranmere Rovers are only three points
off the pace after they defeated Blackburn Community SC 3-1, meanwhile Crewe
Alexandra beat Mossley Hill 5-0 to move out of the bottom three.
Haslingden hold on to the leadership of Division One North after they edged out Sir Tom
Finney by the odd goal in seven, despite Issy Brand, Lilly Clark and Rebecca Smith all scoring
for the home side. Blackpool stay a point behind as Molly Kelly and April Oldfield gave them a
2-1 victory at Carlisle Utd. There is now an eleven point gap to the next three teams who are all
level on points, headed by Penrith AFC who drew 1-1 against Preston North End with Sarah
Smith scoring their goal. Accrington Stanley meanwhile crashed to a 6-1 defeat at the hands
of fast improving Morecambe, for whom Natalie Broad and Yasmine Swarbrick each netted
twice along with Charlotte Gray and Erin Menzies. Chorley Women Development and
