Leicester City Women is pleased to confirm the signing of
Australian international striker Remy Siemsen, subject to
league and international approval.
Remy joins the Foxes following a third spell with
Australian A-League outfit Sydney FC, where she made her
final appearance for the club on Christmas Eve.
She will now link up with Willie Kirk’s squad as they
prepare to return to competitive Barclays Women’s Super
League action, starting with a fixture against Brighton &
Hove Albion at King Power Stadium on Sunday 15th
January (3pm KO).
Speaking to LCFC.com, Siemsen said: "To be joining
such a prestigious club is exciting for myself and my family.
We've all grown up watching English football, and being
able to come across and play with a club like Leicester City
is dream come true.
"The facilities here are amazing, I've never seen a
facility so professional before. Everyone has been so welcoming and I feel right at home already.
I want to help this team be successful, and every week is a new challenge."
Born in St. Leonards, Australia, the forward began her career with Manly United and Sydney
FC before venturing abroad in 2018 following a move to the United States with California Storm.
She scored nine goals in eight league appearances during her time in the States before
returning home to join Western Sydney Wanderers and subsequently Sydney FC for a second
term.
The striker has amassed over 150 appearances in her career to-date, with her recent
experience including a spell in Sweden’s top-flight with AIK, where she made 21 appearances
during the 2022 Damallsvenskan season.
Internationally, she made her debut for Australia against Brazil in October 2021 and has
since made four further appearances for the Matildas on the world stage.
LCFC Women can also confirm Demi Vance has left the Club following the termination of
her contract via mutual consent.
The Northern Ireland international joined the Foxes in September 2022 following a spell
with Scottish Premier League outfit Rangers. The left back made five appearances for City during
her four months with the Club.
Tottenham Hotspur are delighted to announce the signing of Bethany England from Chelsea in
what is a record transfer deal for a female player between two British clubs.
The experienced England international forward has signed a contract with Spurs until June
2026 and will wear the number 19 shirt.
The 28-year-old began her career with Doncaster Rovers Belles before joining Chelsea in
2016. Following a successful loan spell at Liverpool, she excelled for Emma Hayes’ side in
2019-20, when she scored 21 goals in all competitions and won the Women’s Super League
Player of the Season award.
That season, she also scored the winning goal in the Continental League Cup Final, and she
now has 55 goals in 115 WSL games in total, plus nine major trophies from her time at Chelsea.
An established England international, Bethany represented her country at Under-19 and
Under-23 levels before shining for the senior side with six goals in the qualifiers for the 2023
FIFA World Cup.
Part of Sarina Wiegman’s squad that won Euro 2022 in the summer, she currently has 21
senior international caps to her name, scoring 11 goals.
