Chorley continued their movement away from danger with a 2-1 victory over
Middlesbrough, which leaves them four points ahead of the bottom two. Jessica Gillin
and Grace Foy were both on target for the Magpies, whilst 'Boro's consolation came from
Amber Rodgers.
Division One Midlands
Lincoln City have moved into second place, their highest position of the season so far,
following their 4-2 win against Leafield Athletic. Lucy Farrow scored twice, with
Rachael Howes and Chantelle Robinson adding the others as Lincoln registered a fifth
league win in a row, with Thea Clearkin and Leonie Joyce replying.
Northampton Town meanwhile picked up a vital 3-1 win against Leek Town,
which narrows the gap between the two teams to a single point. Jade Bell was the heroine
for Northampton as she spearheaded the win with a hat-trick, whilst Katie Maya netted a
consolation for Leek.
Division One South East
Hashtag Utd have powered further clear at the top of the table, opening up a lead of nine
points following an emphatic win against Hounslow Women. Samantha Rowland kept
up her good form in front of goal by netting five times and Kelly Wealthall contributed a
hat-trick, whilst Malika Apindia Gille and Amy-Leigh Abrehart each bagged braces and
Katharine Nutman, Grace Gillard, Hayley West and Lauren Griffiths were also on target
for the Tags.
Ashford Town (Middlesex) meanwhile lifted themselves up into the top half,
thanks to a 2-1 win away to Cambridge Utd. Alissa Down and Elizabeth O'Callaghan
were the markswomen for Ashford, with Sydnie Naylor replying.
Division One South West
One match was played in the division on Sunday and it saw Exeter City close the gap on
leaders Cardiff City Ladies to two points with a 5-2 victory over Moneyfields. Jenna
Markham and Sarah Stacey gave Exeter a two-goal lead at the break, before Emily
Toogood netted a second half break and Ishbel Zuurmond also got on the scoresheet, with
Jade Widdows and Gemma Simmonds replying for the Moneys.
Reserve Section round-up
Northern Division leaders Durham Cestria have progressed to the quarter finals of the
League Cup after late strikes from Grace Monkhouse and Erin Green earned them a 2-1
victory over Middlesbrough, whose consolation came from Lydia Maidens. Joining
them in the next round are AFC Bournemouth who ran out 3-1 winners over London
Seaward, courtesy of a Pearl Mortimer double and Hannah Francis.
Newcastle Utd have moved into second place in the Northern Division, one point
off the pace, after beating Bradford City 2-0 with goals from Emily Bloomer and
Jasmine McQuade. Barnsley meanwhile kept themselves in the running as a Louise
Biggins double and an own goal gave them a 3-2 win away to Stockport County. Abigail
Barker, Katie Cannon, Abbygayle Hodkin and Naimh Donlon accounted for the goals as
Huddersfield Town won 4-0 at Liverpool Feds and Hull City notched up their first
victory, 4-2 against Chorley thanks to Libby Gray (2), Amy Knott and Lauren
Wentworth.
In the Midland Division, Nottingham Forest have opened up a lead of three
points at the top following their 6-1 victory at Lincoln City in the only game played.
Summa Betts netted a first half brace for Forest and she was joined on the scoresheet by
Laura Dexter, Emily Jacobs, Laura-Jayne O'Neill and Evie Quinn.
Amy Woodhead scored the only goal of the game as Oxford Utd extended their
lead at the top of the South East & Central Division to six points with a 1-0 victory away to
