Glasgow City have opened up a lead of five points at the top of the table after they defeated
Hibernian 2-1. Kinga Kozak and Emily Whelan netted the goals for City in the opening 21
minutes and although Siobhan Hunter pulled one back for Hibs, City were able to hold on and
       increase their lead.
The Old Firm match on Thursday night went the way of Rangers, who were 1-0 winners
against Celtic. A superb 20-yard strike from Kirsty Howat, midway through the second half,
settled matters in favour of Rangers who go level on points with their rivals but both have work
to do if they are to catch leaders City.
Hearts are looking certain to finish in the top four despite being held to a 1-1 draw by
Partick Thistle. Jennifer Smith had given Hearts a seventh minute lead, before Thistle fought
back after the break and earned themselves a share of the spoils thanks to an equaliser from
       Demi-Lee Falconer.
In the bottom section, Spartans have taken over as the leading team following their 4-2
victory over Dundee Utd. A fast start to the game saw United twice taking the lead in the
opening ten minutes through Danni McGinley and Georgie Robb, Katherine Smart equalising on
the first occasion, but after the break, Spartans took control of the game and goals from Robyn
McCafferty, Smart and My Bates saw them take the points.
The win lifts Spartans above Motherwell who were beaten 3-1 by Hamilton
Academical. Eilidh Austin was the heroine for the Accies as she hit a hat-trick to boost their
hopes of climbing out of the relegation play-off place, whilst Carla Boyce netted a consolation for
       ‘Well from the penalty spot.
Aberdeen meanwhile returned to form as they defeated Glasgow Women 5-1. Bailley
Collins gave them a third minute lead and Hannah Stewart netted a brace, with Eilidh Shore and
an own goal completing their tally before Caitlin Farrel replied late on for the visitors.
