to bring players of quality in if we were to compete at this standard. There’s still a couple in the
pipeline that we are hoping to see in the next couple of weeks so we are hoping build again on
what we’ve got and move forward positively this season and into next.
WSS: There has, of course, been a change of structure at the top in Wales over the
summer, how have you and the team been finding the Genero Adran League?
KT: The restructure was an interesting process, with lots of pressure put on our “behind the
scenes” staff to ensure it was a success. We as a team owe them a lot and cannot thank them
enough for the hours of work they put in. They have been meticulous in following the criteria put
in place to ensure we put an excellent campaign to panel, as I’m sure all of the other clubs did.
The new girls programme has been one of the best things to come from that. With an U10s, 12s,
14s 16s and 19s teams training every week now showing a clear progression path to top flight
football in Wales. Of course it was disappointing to see some of our rivalries not be accepted this
season, but we are pleased to see them thriving in the league below and we are sure that they will
return to where they belong in due course.
WSS: What do you think realistically would mean a good season for Aberystwyth
       Town?
KT: Our aim is to finish fourth at the split, but we are also realistic that this will be a tough ask
that will require lots of hard work and commitment. The feel in camp at the moment is brilliant
and the togetherness we feel on a Sunday afternoon can’t be beaten. This is the best Aberystwyth
Town Women’s team we’ve seen to date, and the feedback we’re hearing from other clubs echos
that. We’re proud of what we are doing, we are taking each game as they come, enjoying each
win, working hard and sticking together through the losses and doing all we can to stay in the
position we are in at the moment.
WSS: The title race is shaping up to be a close one, can you see it staying that way
for the rest of the season?
KT: It’s always a close contest at the top of our league and I wouldn’t like to say either way. In
my opinion, Swansea and Met will battle for the top spot, City will more than likely keep their
third, and ANYTHING could happen for the rest of us. Fingers crossed for a little bit of luck to go
with the hard work we are doing at Aber. We set out to show the league we deserve to be here,
and we’re not doing too much of a bad job so far. I couldn’t be more proud to captain such a
       phenomenal group of women.
       Our thanks to Kelly!
