North East League
Redcar Town rounded off their campaign in the Premier Division by running out 4-1 winners
over sixth placed Wallsend Boys Club. Mary Corbyn scored a second successive hat-trick and
Rosie Dunkerton added the other as Redcar notched up a third victory in four matches, whilst
Wallsend’s consolation came from Nicole Dack.
After clinching the Northern Division title the previous weekend, Wallsend BC Res
finished their successful season on a winning note, beating Hartlepool Pools Youth 3-2.
Rachel Hepple, Francesca Brown and Alex Bailey were all on target for Wallsend, with Lucy
O’Keefe and Abbie Blackwood replying. Norton & Stockton Ancients Res end up in fourth
place after getting the better of West Allotment Celtic, 6-4 in a high scoring affair. Maddie
Myers led the scoring for Norton with a four-goal haul and she was joined on the scoresheet by
Katie Ormerod and Isobel McEwan, whilst the home side responded through Gabrielle
McConnel (2), Megan Hindmarsh and Lauren McGovern.
The final matches of the season will be played in the Southern Division and runners-up
Altofts Ladies were 2-1 winners away to York RI. All of the goals came in the first half, with
Emma Dobson and Jodie Daly on target for Altofts. Handsworth meanwhile defeated
Farsley Celtic Juniors 6-3, a result which means they will finish in third place.
       South West League
Warminster Town will finish outside of the bottom three in the Premier Division following
their 2-0 win over Wiltshire rivals Wootton Bassett Town. Maddy Brown and Jasmine
Harris scored the goals which ensure that Warminster will finish above Ilminster Town,
despite them beating Liskeard Athletic 3-1. Jodi Cornwall was on target twice for Ilminster
along with Natalie Matthews, Gabi Alphous netting a consolation for Liskeard.
The Northern Division title race has been an incredibly close one throughout the
campaign and it was fitting that the destination of the trophy remained uncertain until the final
minute of the last match. Frampton Rangers made the short trip to Downend Flyers
needing a point to be certain of title and looked to be comfortably on their way when Amie
Norris gave them the lead just before half time. However after the break, Downend got back into
the game and levelled the scores when Orla Montgomery swept in a cross at the far post. It could
have been two for Downend moments later when Beth Pitman’s shot was headed off the line by
Charlotte Appleyard but Frampton held on through a few tense and nervous moments late on
to secure a 1-1 draw and confirm themselves as title winners.
       West Midlands League
Kidderminster Harriers picked up the result they wanted to make sure of finishing as
runners-up in the Premier Division when they defeated Redditch Utd 3-1. Bailey-Raine
Hodge netted twice for Harriers and Georgia Harris added the other, with Chloe Bailey
replying. Third placed Shrewsbury Town ended their campaign with a 4-2 victory over Lye
Town, Libby Veitch bagging a brace for the Shrews along with Zoe Child and Sarah Lowden,
whilst Lye netted through Sian Johnson and Sunya Salim. Chelsea Hunter and Jodie Lewis
accounted for the goals as Crusaders defeated Burton Albion 2-1 and Alex Shilton was on
target for Coundon Court in their 1-1 draw against Lichfield City
Jenna Boddison scored the only goal of the game as Division One North title winners
Shifnal Town notched up another victory, 1-0 against Port Vale, whilst AFC Telford Utd
netted seven times without reply past Walsall Ladies and are one win away from the runners-
up spot. Jaime Duggan, Millie Jones, Kaitlyn Richards, Jessica Sayers, Jemma Smith, Felicity
Winters and Megan Lane all netted a goal apiece for Telford. Tamworth completed their
season by hitting double figures past Wyrley Ladies, Catherine Harris bagging a five-goal
haul along with Megan Chapman (2), Marianne Lennon (2), Kate Wright, Phoenix Hewitt, Jade
       Lapthorne and Elle Haywood.
In Division One South, Long Itchington enhanced their chances of sealing a top three
place when they won 3-2 against runners-up Knowle. Humera Ashfaq, Harriot Jones and Ellie
White all scored a goal apiece for Long Itchington, with Demi-Lee Rolph hitting a brace in reply.
