Jill Roord is set to leave Arsenal at the end of the season to join German top division side VfL
       Wolfsburg for an undisclosed fee.
Jill joined the Gunners from German outfit Bayern Munich back in May 2019, and will
depart north London having currently made a total of 50 appearances for the club.
The Dutch international played a key role in the centre of our midfield, scoring 15 goals
       including three hat-tricks.
Meanwhile. Arsenal are delighted to confirm that Katie McCabe has signed a new
       long-term contract with the club.
The Republic of Ireland captain has made 113 appearances since joining the club from
       Shelbourne in December 2015.
Since Katie’s arrival, she has won the Women’s FA Cup, FA Women’s Continental Tyres
League Cup and Barclays FA Women’s Super League.
The 25-year-old versatile winger has established herself as a core member of the Arsenal
squad, notching 12 assists and four goals in just 24 games this season.
“I’m absolutely delighted,” Katie told arsenal.com. “I love this club and I feel like we’re
in a really good place and that we’re ready to push on. I’m delighted it got done and now I’m
ready to kick on and help this club win more trophies.
“It’s been amazing ever since I joined the club. There’s been ups and downs along the
way, but I feel like I’m in a really good place with the team that we’ve got, the players we’ve got
and all the staff behind the scenes. I’m really happy to commit my future.”
Arsenal have also confirmed that defender Jennifer Beattie underwent a successful
operation this week on her back following a long term back issue.
She now begins her recovery process with the support of specialist care, but sadly her
injury rules her out of selection for this summer’s Olympic Games.
            Good luck to Chelsea
               in this Sunday’s
        UEFA Women’s Champions
                 League Final
              against Barcelona,
