Juniors Ladies maintained their improving form by beating Bradford Park Avenue
8-3, Abby Watkinson bagging a hat-trick along with Demi Adams, Leanne Corns, Charlotte
Hill, Delia Hurdiss and Louise Webster. Lynn Goodman and Amy Lyons were the
markswomen for Barnsley FC Ladies as they won 2-1 against Wakefield Trinity U23.
North West League
Merseyrail Ladies tightened their grip on the Premier Division title race as they defeated
Wigan Athletic 2-0 whilst second placed Tranmere Rovers were held to a 1-1 draw by
West Didsbury & Chorlton, thus extending Merseyrail's lead to seven points. Crewe
Alexandra are a further six points behind in third, following their 1-0 success away to
Mossley Hill. Salford City Lionesses were 2-1 winners over Fleetwood Town Wrens
to stay narrowly ahead on goal difference from AFC Darwen, who defeated Cheadle
Town Stingers 4-0.
Blackburn Community SC are the new leaders of Division One North, following
their 2-0 win away to third placed Workington Reds. Preston North End meanwhile
continued their recent good form by winning 3-2 against Haslingden, whilst Chorley
Women Development defeated Sir Tom Finney 5-0. Accrington Stanley beat
Morecambe Res 2-1 to go level on points with Haslingden, as did Penwortham Town
with a 2-0 victory over Carlisle Utd.
With Curzon Ashton not in action, a win would have taken Northwich Vixens top
of the table but they remain second following a 1-1 draw with Warrington Wolves
Foundation. Alder FC Women were 2-1 victors away to Didsbury Ladies whilst
Runcorn Linnets defeated West Kirby 5-1 and Altrincham lifted themselves off the
bottom of the table, thanks to a 3-1 victory against Wythenshawe Amateurs.
South West League
Sherborne Town maintained their five point lead as they won 4-0 against Wootton
Bassett Town. Jamie Bland, Gemma Mountain, Tegen Lee-Standen and Ali Scott-
Sheppard all scored a goal apiece for the Zebras. Ilminster Town meanwhile beat
Bishop's Lydeard 2-0 thanks to Harriet Kelly and Charlotte Pettinger, whilst Torquay
Utd also remain in the running after Esme Kilburn-Thompson and Tracey Cross gave them
a 2-1 victory over Marine Academy Plymouth, whose consolation came from Sam
Drewery. Chloe Snook was on target for Middlezoy Rovers as they shared a 1-1 draw with
Forest Green Rovers, whose goal was scored by Georgia Vandries.
Almondsbury notched their ninth win in a row in the Northern Division, a 2-0
success against Downend Flyers which sees them cut Bristol Rovers' lead to six points.
Zoe Hales gave 'Bury the lead just before half time and Jess Bessell wrapped up the win with
the second goal on the hour. Frampton Rangers moved back up to third as a Lucie Hulin
hat-trick led them to a 6-0 victory away to Weston-super-Mare, with Brodie Olive (2) and
Charlotte Daly adding their other goals. Rebecca Donnelly and Amelie Lewis scored the goals
as Cheltenham Town Development won 2-1 at Bristol Ladies Union, whose reply
came from Hannah Price. Oldland Abbotonians meanwhile defeated Weston Mendip
3-1 with strikes from Hannah Pugh, Amy Street and Molly McKay, Daisy Hutchins netting a
consolation for Mendip.
Swindon Town Development have gone level on points with Eastern Division
leaders Keynsham Town Res after they beat AEK Boco for the second week running.
This time it was by a 5-1 margin, courtesy of an Amelia Dudding brace, Ruby Colleton, Lucy
Scrannage and Maddie Sheppard whilst Lucy Atkinson once again netted Boco's consolation.
Warminster Town stay firmly in the running, they edged out Chipping Sodbury Town
thanks to a Mia Blazey double and Shannon Redhouse. A first half goal from Eleri Webber
earned Paulton Rovers a 1-0 victory away to Frome Town.
In the Western Division, Saltash Utd have moved off the bottom of the table with a
