S-Tech Cambridgeshire League
Ketton are the new leaders of the Premiership Division after two victories in a double header
against Riverside LFC. Fran Kavanagh scored four times as Ketton won the first meeting 7-0,
with Beth Goodman (2) and Sascha Smith adding the others, before a Goodman double earned
them a 2-1 win in the second match. Previous leaders St Ives Town Development crashed
to a 9-0 defeat at the hands of Peterborough Northern Star Res. Yasmin Green, Sasha
Haw, Emily Johnson, Jenna Nairn and Katie Barber were on target as Netherton Utd
triumphed 5-2 at Leverington Sports to keep themselves in contention. Fulbourn
Institute Bluebirds had a good day with a pair of 4-0 victories against March Town Utd.
Krissie Taylor (2), Ebony Rule and Eleanor Woodley were on the scoresheet in the first match
and all three scored in the return game along with Lisa Grimes. Donna Nicholls and Lauren
Mapleston were on target for Whittlesey Athletic as they drew 2-2 with Cambridge City A,
who replied with an Amie Fullwood brace.
Kendal O'Connor netted twice and Emily Whiteman added the other as Championship
North table toppers Eaton Socon won 3-0 against Swavesey Spartans. They kept
themselves one point ahead of second placed Cardea Ladies, who beat Park Ladies 6-2
thanks to Emma Pollard (2), Keleigh Slipper (2), Georgie Elsom and Emma Frost. Libby Friel
bagged a six-goal haul whilst Freya Peters and Natalie Thomas each contributed a hat-trick for
Pinchbeck Utd against Cambourne Utd, with Chloe Gray (2), Victoria Bradford and Holly
Coupland rounding off the scoring.
Championship South leaders Newmarket Town Development ran up a total of
fifteen goals in their victory against Haverhill Rovers Community. Kaitlin Elsey scored
nine times and Sarah O'Rourke hit a hat-trick, with one apiece from Faith Entwhistle, Leah
Harper and Grace Muffett. Cambridge Rangers stay on their heels in second place after
Robyn Barlow (2), Lisa Wears (2), Barbara Williams and Daniella Lewis gave them a 6-1 win
against Isleham Utd. Histon Res meanwhile defeated Burwell Tigers 5-0, Sophie Hopkin
netting a double along with Amie Flack, Katie Webb and Molly Blair. Abigail Davies and
Philippa Hayden-Evans both scored twice, with Emma Case, Sarah Freestone and Emily Owen-
Brown also on target, for Histon Hornets in their 7-2 success away to Mildenhall Town.
* On Wednesday night, despite a goal from Sascha Smith, Premiership Division leaders
Ketton were beaten 2-1 at home by Cambridge University. Histon Res stepped up their
challenge in Championship South as Jordanne Sillitoe (2), Flora Snelson and an own goal
gave them a 4-1 win over Histon Hornets.
Earthbound Electrical Cornwall League
Callington Town Res kept up their chase after East Division leaders Saltash Utd with an
eleven-goal victory against Charlestown. Rachel Finch and Lisa Pearce scored five times
apiece, with Keisha Ellis adding the other goal. Sam Metters (2), Molly Gill and Sophie Perrin
accounted for the goals as Saltash Borough won 4-1 away to Wadebridge Town.
Helston Athletic made it six wins out of six at the top of the West Division, thanks
to a 6-1 victory over Mousehole. Abigail Locke and Sasha Sparkes each netted twice along with
Kathryn Barker and Eve-Charlotte Moore, Samantha Richards replying. Emily Greenham led
the scoring with a hat-trick as Penryn stayed three points behind Helston in second place with
a win against St Agnes Res. Yaina Andrew, Jasmine Butler and Beth Churchill weighed in with
braces and the tally was completed by Laura-Jane Ralph, Eleanor Dove and Brit Merriman.
RNAS Culdrose moved level on points with third placed Mousehole by beating Illogan RBL
Res 6-1.
Gloucestershire League
Bristol Rovers have hit top spot in Division One for the first time this season, following their
emphatic victory against Gloucester City. Georgia Vandries was on target seven times and
