Genero Adran League
Swansea City have powered three points clear at the top of the Premier Division after
beating previous leaders Cardiff City Women 4-0. Chloe Chivers opened the scoring for
the Swans after eight minutes and Katy Hosford made it two early in the second half.
Substitute Rhianne Oakley then scored twice in a four minute spell to round off an
impressive result for the reigning Champions.
Cardiff Met Women have moved up into second place following their 2-0
victory over The New Saints. Both goals came in the period leading up towards half
time, Grace Corne putting the Archers in front and Emily Allen adding the second in first
half injury time.
Aberystwyth Town have joined Pontypridd Town on six points after winning
their meeting 1-0. A tight game was decided in the eighteenth minute when Amy Jenkins
scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot.
Port Talbot Town meanwhile picked up their first win and points of the season
when they edged out Barry Town Utd by the odd goal in five. Vicky Beddows gave Port
Talbot a ninth minute lead but Barry hit back strongly, goals from Anna Houghton and
Lauren Harris ensuring they led at half time. Jessie Taylor levelled matters once more, six
minutes after the restart, and the fightback was completed when Courteney Thomas
scored Port Talbot’s winner.
