Laura Bunton had a great day, scoring all four goals for Barking in their 4-1 success away to
AFC Sudbury.
London & South East League
Ashford Town (Middlesex) continue to look strong at the top of the Premier Division and
preserved their six point lead with an eight-goal victory over Worthing FC Women, Ashley
Cheatley and Lavana Neufville each scoring four times (see match report). Dartford stay second
after Nicha Dyett, Emily Vaughan, Shauni Griffiths and an own goal gave them a 4-2 win at
Dulwich Hamlet. New London Lionesses meanwhile defeated Denham Utd 6-1 thanks to
Samantha Lanza Gabian (2), Jess Wadey (2), Carla Botas Sanmartin and Rita Fetsch. Ellie Olds
hit a hat-trick along with Helen Ogle and Katie Foster to fire Fulham FC Women to a 5-0
victory over Whyteleafe and Millwall Lionesses won for the first time, 3-1 at Saltdean Utd
with goals from Maisie Joyce, Amy Nash and Emily Stanley.
Anna Jowle and Izzy Theodoreson scored the goals as Dulwich Hamlet Res defeated
Sutton Utd 2-1 to remain two points clear at the top of Division One North, from Dorking
Wanderers who were 4-2 victors away to Sport London e Benfica, Charlotte Keenan netted
all four goals. Brentford follow on in third after beating Watford Development 3-1 with
goals from Rebekah Edwards (2) and Axelle Courlander. Walton Casuals are starting to pick
up momentum, scoring nine times against Clapham Utd including a hat-trick from Allana
Francis-Ashmeil. Jodie Barker, Emily Bernard, Lauren Nicholson, Nicola Saunders, Bernice
Tully and Brooke Garcia weighed in with the other goals. Sarah Garlick (2), Kea Felix, Helen King
and Kate Meehan gave Hackney a 5-0 victory away to Victoire Ladies.
Ashford Ladies became the first team to take points off Division One South leaders
Hastings Utd, holding them to a 1-1 draw. Hastings saw their lead trimmed to a single point by
AFC Acorns who defeated Newhaven 5-1 with goals from Eleanor Bird (2), Chloe Higham,
Poppy Nicholls and Mariangelis Escalona. Herne Bay meanwhile kept up their good form in
front of goal, Gemma Shepherd bagging a hat-trick as they hit seven past Meridian Ladies.
Harriett Chapman, Jemma Barton, Lillian Tucker and Kate Foster contributed the other goals.
Welling Utd were also 7-0 winners against Maidstone Utd, Samantha Rowland scoring a
hat-trick, Storm Arnold adding two with Josie Gillespie and Aine O'Connor also on target. Rachel
Mugami and Jamey Symons netted the goals as Parkwood Rangers picked up their first point
of the season from a 2-2 draw with Bexhill Utd.
North East League
Things are extremely tight in the early Premier Division table with the top six being covered by
just a single point. Wakefield Trinity occupy top spot after winning 3-2 at South Shields,
Emily Heckler netting twice and Danielle Biglin adding the other. Sophie Tinson scored the only
goal of the game from the penalty spot for York City in their 1-0 victory away to Redcar Town
and they go second, just ahead of Sunderland West End. Dee Swales (2) and Shirley Murphy
scored the goals for Farsley Celtic in their 3-2 success at Ossett Utd and a Beth Jennings goal
earned Harrogate Town the points against Hartlepool Utd. Wallsend Boys Club
meanwhile got off the mark when winning 2-0 against Sheffield Wednesday, courtesy of goals
from Eleanor Regan and Hannah Travis.
Blyth Town are in top spot in the Northern Division following their 3-3 draw with
Boro Rangers. Eve Jackson, Lily Metcalfe and Eve Hopson all scored for Rangers, whilst
Blyth's goals came from Steph Ord (2) and Shannon Carlin. Spennymoor Town slip to second
after being beaten 5-3 by Norton & Stockton Ancients Res, for whom Sacha Millward scored
four and Jess Tucker added the other. Samantha Deverdics, Catherine Shields and Sophie Killip
all scored to give Wallsend BC Res a 3-0 victory over Bishop Auckland and West
Allotment Celtic were 7-2 winners at Prudhoe Town, Jessica Spark netting twice along with
Orla Callaghan, Caitlyn Hutchinson, Amy Richardson, Laura Wright and Gabrielle McConnel.
Rebecca Hansen and Emma Hewett were on target as Chester-le-Street Utd won for the first
time, 2-1 against Washington Association.
Altofts Ladies ascended to the top of the Southern Division, courtesy of a 4-1 victory
away to Farsley Celtic Juniors in which Naomi Malcolm scored twice, along with Grace
