East Midlands League
Northampton Town made it four wins out of four with a 9-2 victory over previously unbeaten
Rotherham Utd. Charlie Cooper bagged a hat-trick along with Alex Dicks (2), Rachael St
John-Mosse (2), Leah Cudone and Abbie Reboul to keep their side three points ahead of
Mansfield Town who scored twelve times against Woodlands Ladies. Georgia Gladwin and
Courtney Caunt each netted twice, with Victoria Chincharo, Amy Dawson, Beth Jones, Ellie
Marshall, Shannon Purdy, Nikki Wigman and Jessica Parker. Mansfield sit in second on goal
difference from Chesterfield, who won 4-2 at Loughborough Students thanks to Emily
Mapley-Sims (2), Amy Pashley and Gina Camfield. Abigail Murrell was on target seven times for
Lincoln Utd against Leicester City Ladies, whilst Tracey Duxbury-Mead hit a hat-trick along
with others from Demi Barai, Heather Pettit and Zoe Hopewell. Notts County meanwhile won
for the first time, 3-2 against Rise Park thanks to Shoniqua Barnes, Nya Chambers and an own
goal.
Demi-Leigh Crofts and Natasha Leach both scored hat-tricks, with Amy Gauvrit adding
the other, as Arnold Eagles won 7-1 at Cleethorpes Town to hold onto the leadership of
Division One North on goal difference from Grimsby Town, who defeated Sleaford Town 2-0
thanks to Ellie Wilson and Amber Sharp. Nottingham Trent University follow on in third,
they beat Sherwood FC Women 3-0 with goals from Katy Hawkshaw, Amy Seymour-Shove
and Quinn Garner. Grimsby Borough claimed their first victory with an eleven goal blast
against Appleby Frodingham. Natalie Aird and Laura Flecknor each hit hat-tricks and they
were joined on the scoresheet by Suzanne Green (2), Georgia Silvester, Scarlet Woods and
Scarlett Norman. Abbie Staples and Caitlin Want were on target for Notts County
Development as they shared a 2-2 draw with St Josephs Rockware of Worksop, who
replied through Elizabeth Harris and an own goal.
Three teams are level on points at the top of Division One South, headed by Derby
County Academy after they won 6-0 away to Coalville Town Ravenettes. Lucy Phillips-
Poole scored a hat-trick for second placed Oadby & Wigston in their 7-1 success against
Loughborough Foxes Vixens, the others coming from Lily Cocking, Samantha Hargrave,
Lauren MacLeod and Emily Miles. Anstey Nomads were 1-0 victors over Ilkeston Town
thanks to a solitary goal from Jamie Elday. Neve Hincks, Tia Pullen and Emily Sowler all scored
twice along with Poppy Lynn as Leicester Road defeated Peterborough Utd Res 7-2 and
Kettering Town won 2-1 against Thrapston Town.
Eastern Region League
Wroxham stay three points clear at the top of the Premier Division after second placed
Wymondham Town went down to a 4-0 defeat at the hands of King's Lynn Town, whose
scorers were Amie Ford, Tiffany Forshaw, Zara O'Neill and Amy Magnus. Royston Town also
lost ground as they were beaten 3-1 by fast improving Luton Town, for whom Olivia Abraham,
Fiona Constable and Eleanor Wade were on target. Haringey Borough raced to a 7-1 victory
over St Ives Town and Bedford Ladies were 2-1 winners away to Colney Heath, Natasha
Fensome scoring both goals.
Biggleswade Utd are the new leaders of Division One North following their 6-3 win
against Whittlesey Athletic. Samaira Khan scored a hat-trick, with Tayla Murray (2) and
Rianne Townsend-Brown adding the others to take their team top of the table. Previous leaders
Needham Market were beaten for the first time, 2-0 by Wootton Blue Cross Lionesses fo
whom Rebecca Vass netted both goals.
There was also a change of leadership in Division One South, where Cheshunt won 5-1
away to Billericay Town Development to move into pole position. They lead on goal
difference from Leigh Ramblers who beat Wodson Park 4-0 thanks to a Rebecca Dalgarno
hat-trick and Beth Cooper. Herts Vipers Women had started the day on top but were beaten
3-1 by Hutton, whose markswomen were Sade Walters, Roseanne Shafier and Lauren Knight.
