Wilkinson and Nicola Smith. Wakefield Trinity U23 had begun the day as leaders but were
beaten 6-2 by Hull Utd, whose scorers were Eleanor Worsley (2), Amy Ward, Millie Sharp,
Lauren Holmes and Jessica Derbyshire. Bradford Park Avenue had a good day as they won
for the first time, 4-2 against Barnsley FC Ladies thanks to Natalie Bell, Ami Nolan, Jade
Nelson and Kirsty Russell.
North West League
Tranmere Rovers made it four wins out of four in the Premier Division as they defeated
Salford City Lionesses 3-1. The Birkenhead side have opened up a lead of three points due to
second placed Merseyrail Ladies losing for the first time, 3-2 away to AFC Darwen.
Cheadle Town Stingers moved up to third after winning 2-1 at Fleetwood Town Wrens.
Crewe Alexandra leapt into the top half on the back of a 4-1 success against West Didsbury
& Chorlton and Mossley Hill won for the first time, 1-0 over Wigan Athletic.
In Division One North, Blackburn Community SC head a trio of teams at the top of
the table after they won 7-1 away to Morecambe Res. Aimee Shaw hit a hat-trick and Emily
Cardwell added the other two for Blackpool in their 5-0 victory at Workington Reds and
Chorley Women Development complete the top three, thanks to a 4-1 win over Sir Tom
Finney. Haslingden Ladies edged out Penrith AFC by the odd goal in five and
Penwortham Town were 1-0 winners over Preston North End.
Warrington Wolves stay two points ahead in Division One South following their 5-0
victory over West Kirby. Chester FC Women were 3-0 winners at Alder FC Women and
are in second on goal difference from Northwich Vixens, who beat Didsbury Ladies 1-0.
Holly Howcroft (2), Sarah Webster, Becky Grocott and an own goal ensured that Hindley
Juniors notched up their second straight win, 5-3 against Altrincham and this takes them into
fourth, ahead of Runcorn Linnets who shared a 2-2 draw with Wythenshawe Amateurs.
South West League
AFC St Austell continue to stretch the early pace in the Premier Division, chalking up their
fourth straight win when beating Middlezoy Rovers 8-2. Charlotte Whitmore led the scoring
with a hat-trick, Lucy Solloway contributed a brace and there was one apiece from Kayleigh
Brown, Millie Buist and Tean Gray-Roberts. They lead by two points from Ilminster Town,
who leapfrogged Sherborne Town into second place by winning their meeting 4-1. Charlotte
Pettinger (2), Abigail Meyer and Sian Chapman all scored for Ilminster, with Gemma Mountain
replying. Torquay Utd stay unbeaten after drawing 2-2 with Forest Green Rovers who
registered their first point of the season. Ella Hitchcox and Hattie Jones scored for Rovers, whilst
Torquay replied through Ellie Bishop and Ocean Latto. Libby Davies and Hannah Gulliver were
on the scoresheet as Wootton Bassett Town won 2-1 away to Marine Academy Plymouth
whose consolation came from Sam Metters.
Frampton Rangers hang on to the leadership of the Northern Division after beating
Weston Mendip 5-0. Charlotte Daly netted two of the goals for Frampton along with Lucie
Hulin, Kirsten Prior and Chloe Timbrell. A second half goal spree took Bristol Rovers to a 7-2
victory over Bristol Ladies Union and keeps them level on points with the leaders. Georgia
Vandries was on target four times, with Libby Bell, Kelly Cutler and Jessica Lumber adding the
others, Jessica Frazer and Hannah Price replying. Downend Flyers ran out 6-3 winners over
Weston-super-Mare thanks to Faith Flynn (2), Harriet Giles, Beth Pitman, Lisa Ralph and
Alice Baker, with Jazz Faiers (2) and Sherise Binns netting for Weston. Maddie Wood was on the
scoresheet for Almondsbury as they shared a 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town
Development.
Warminster Town are the early leaders of the Eastern Division after Mia Blazey,
Rachel Godden and Poppy Spratt gave them a 3-0 victory over Keynsham Town Res. Paulton
Rovers opened up their league campaign by scoring ten times without reply past Swindon
Supermarine, Alex Gwyther bagging a four-goal haul along with Martha Slocombe (2), Jordan
Box, Enya Wilkinson, Alexei Turner and Imogen Stocker. AEK Boco and Frome Town
meanwhile battled out a 1-1 draw, Shania Powell earning Boco a point with a second half
equaliser after Koran Atkinson had put Frome in front.
