AL: We expect nothing less than a competitive game, we try not to pay too much attention to
other results but we pay each team the same respect and make sure that we apply ourselves
in the same way. It can be so easy to drop the ball in a league like this. We know that at home
we can get a good crowd in, Peterborough have done the same with an astounding
attendance so they will know what it's like to play with some noise. It's set to be one to watch!
WSS: Have there been many changes to the squad after you won promotion last
       season?
AL: We have made some quality signings over the summer, all adding something different to
an already talented group. It was the manager's aim to keep the core group together and
maintain the squad morale that aided the success of the last few seasons. All of the new girls
have fitted straight in and made a huge impact.
WSS: What are the team's ambitions in this campaign, are you confident of
       building on your start?
AL: I think it would have been really difficult to set goals and targets at the beginning of the
season because ultimately we didn't know much about the league and what it would throw
at us. The most important thing for us is that we give our all and compete. We said from the
start we weren't here to make up the numbers and I think we've proved that. As long as the
girls play with smiles on their faces and we continue to work hard for each other, the results
will speak for themselves. We are just taking each game as it comes and then preparing for
       the next.
WSS: The opening matches in the division have suggested that it may be an
open one, can you see it staying that way?
AL: You genuinely couldn't put a name to the title, each team has had an array of results and
there is no clear stand out team for me. It's going to be a highly competitive season and as I
mentioned previously, anything could happen on the day. It's still very early days and teams
have had a very heavy run of fixtures so you have to be mindful of key players and injuries
occurring. It's just so nice for us to be at this level and competing.
       Our thanks to Amber!
