WSS: Who do you see as the main challengers for the title in Division One North
       this season?
GS: I honestly don’t know - the first few weeks of results haven’t given away too much, with
some games looking super close. Liverpool Feds are unbeaten so far, like ourselves, and
Chorley have been off to a good start so I can see these being good competitors.
WSS: Newcastle have been at this level for a few years now but this been one of
their best ever starts to a season. How determined are the squad to really
establish themselves in the promotion race if they can do it?
GS: Every single one of the girls wants to win the title and play at that higher level - it’s our
main goal and it’s definitely achievable. Being promoted won’t come easy but the attitude of
the squad is going to be very important - already during training the standard is so high, you
can really see that determination to be the best in not only all of the players in the squad but
the manager Becky Langley is really pushing for us to be our best. This has massively
reflected in our first few performances, which has been the perfect start that we wanted to the
       title race.
       Our thanks to Georgina!
       Everton sign Swedish star Bennison
Everton have completed the signing of highly rated teenage Sweden international midfielder
Hanna Bennison from FC Rosengard for a club record fee. Bennison, 18, joins the Blues for a
substantial six-figure sum and has penned a four-year deal until June 2025.
Bennison has forged a reputation as one of the most exciting talents in world football.
A creative, dynamic midfield player with an eye for goal, Bennison made her senior Sweden
debut just one month after her 17th birthday, excelling in a friendly international against world
       champions USA.
She has continued to feature regularly for her country and was part of the squad that
won silver at the recent Olympic Games in Japan.
Earlier this year, Bennison received the prestigious Goal NXGN Award for the best
young female footballer in the world.
