39 goals were scored on a dramatic Sunday of Fifth Round action in the Women's Scottish
       Cup.
Holders Celtic are safely through to the quarter finals after a comfortable victory over
Boroughmuir Thistle and they got off to a dream start with Megan Bowie giving them the
lead within a minute. Their SWPL2 opponents made them work for their victory, but a
double from Chloe Craig and goals from Maria McAneny and Olivia Fergusson eventually
saw Celtic run out 5-0 victors.
SWPL leaders Glasgow City are also safely through after of victory of the same
scoreline against Aberdeen. They took an early lead through Priscilla Chinchilla's back post
finish but they could not find any further goals in a tight first half.
Substitute Mairead Fulton extended their lead at the start of the second half though
and she grabbed her second of the game on 64 minutes to make it 3-0. As the Dons tired,
City made the scoreline comfortable with a debut goal from Miracle Porter before Sophia
       Martin rounded off the win.
Rossvale have enjoyed an impressive run in the Scottish Cup but the Championship
side came up against a relentless Rangers side who scored 13 unanswered goals in a clinical
display. Lizzie Arnot scored a hat-trick while there were nine different scorers for Malky
Thomson's side who are looking to secure a cup double this season after winning the Sky
       Sports Cup in December.
Glasgow Women have endured a difficult campaign in the SWPL this season but
they did enjoy a positive result in the Scottish Cup as they won 2-0 at Ayr Utd. Meanwhile,
Kilmarnock came out on top against St Johnstone in an all-SPWL 2 encounter. Lisa
Swanson's first half strike was enough to settle a tight affair at Rugby Park.
Hibernian have won this competition on eight occasions and they took one step
towards victory this season with a 4-0 victory over East Fife, while Motherwell avoided
an upset as they enjoyed a 4-0 victory over SWPL2 leaders Montrose.
It took extra time to separate Partick Thistle and Hearts in the final game of the day,
with Clare Docherty cancelling out Georgia Timms' opener as the scores finished level in
       normal time.
It was Hearts who would prevail in extra time, with two goals in two minutes from Katie
Rood and Cailin Michie putting the away side in control before Ciara Grant's free kick added
       gloss in the final minute.
Ben and James Johnston from Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro were at Hampden Park
on Monday afternoon as the twin brothers conducted a double draw for the quarter finals of
the Men's and Women's Scottish Cup competitions.
Following an action-packed weekend in both the men's and women's competitions, the
draws took place back-to-back at the National Stadium, prior to Darvel's match against
       Falkirk in the men’s cup.
The Fifth Round draw was as follows:
                               Glasgow Women v Motherwell
                                Heart of Midlothian v Celtic
                                Kilmarnock v Glasgow City
                                   Rangers v Hibernian
