Southern Region League
Abingdon Utd are crowned as Premier Division Champions and are promoted to the FA Women's
National League after they won 2-0 against second placed Ascot Utd. Megan Crawford and
Lindsay Pinker scored the goals to put United beyond the reach of their rivals (see match report).
Bournemouth Sports still have a chance of second place, which they kept alive by beating
Oxford City 2-1 with goals from Becky Miles and Hollie Shaw. Chloe Ball, Annie Northwood, Paige
Ridley, Tori St Clair and Harriette Titchener all scored to give Abingdon Town a 5-2 victory over
Winchester City Flyers, meanwhile Wycombe Wanderers picked up a valuable 1-0 success
away to Eastleigh thanks to Kate Andersen.
The title race is also over in Division One North as Woodley Utd clinched the crown by also
beating their nearest rivals, winning 2-0 away to Milton Utd. The home side went into the game
with an unbeaten record but goals from Bonnie Messitt and Sarah Lawrence gave Woodley a result
which confirms them as Champions. Penn & Tyler's Green head the race for third after beating
Carterton 5-0 with goals from Henna Hussain, Georgie Lloyd, Emma Nolan, Sasha Smith and
Rebecca Stopforth. There was yet another draw in the division on Sunday, Natasha Elcox and Rae
Roberts scoring for Eversley & California as they shared four goals with Caversham Utd, for
whom Stephanie Nelson bagged a brace.
In Division One South, Woking moved to within three points off second place by winning
4-2 away to Selsey Women Development, Niamh Martin, Megan Vincer, Kaitlin Howard and
Lily Davis all scoring a goal apiece. Lauren Timbrell meanwhile netted a brace as Abbey Rangers
defeated fourth placed Rushmoor Community 2-1.
West Midlands League
Dani Selmes netted twice and Libby-Jo Stokes the other for leaders Kidderminster Harriers but
they were held to a 3-3 draw by Solihull Sporting, who replied through a Lauren Smith double
and Victoria Cook. Harriers' lead has been trimmed to two points by Sutton Coldfield Town who
were 3-1 winners at Coundon Court thanks to Jordan Atkin, Alison Forbes and Chloe Handy.
Laura Davies, Jennifer Higgs and Holly Rogers were all on scoresheet for Worcester City as they
beat Lye Town 3-2, a result which takes them up to third. Lichfield City were also 3-2 winners
over Crusaders thanks to Charlotte Leedham (2) and Shelbie Cartwright, meanwhile
Shrewsbury Town defeated Burton Albion 2-1 with goals from Madison Jones and Paris
Schofield.
Shifnal Town powered to a 7-2 victory at Port Vale and this has seen them increase their
Division One North lead to seven points. Rebecca-Lee Bown scored a hat-trick for Shifnal along with
Jenna Boddison (2), Maria Bell and Holly Bullock. Kiera Willdigg and Kelly Leese scored the goals
as City of Stoke beat Tamworth 2-0, which means that Walsall Wood are now in second after
winning their local derby 7-0 against Walsall Ladies. Natasha Baptiste and Tayler Davies both hit
hat-tricks, with Rosie Hargreaves also on target. Abi Beady, Jaime Duggan, Jemma Smith and
Megan Jones all scored along with an own goal as AFC Telford Utd defeated Coventry City 5-0,
whilst Darlaston Town scored eight times without reply past Wyrley Ladies courtesy of Jessica
Nash (2), Lauri Alexander, Laura Avery, Ellesse Birkett, Natalie Galway, Rachael Green and Drew
Harris.
The two teams at the top of Division One South met for the first time this season, with both
teams going into the match sporting 100% records. It was Coventry Sphinx who were 2-0 winners
over Knowle, courtesy of goals from Kirsty Farnsworth and Angel Scandrett. Droitwich Spa hold
onto third place despite going down 4-3 to Long Itchington who scored through Lara Finn (2),
Tyler Miller and Shannon O'Donnell. Sedgley & Gornal Utd leapfrogged Bewdley Town in the
table after beating them 3-2 with Stacey Barbaccia, Grace Field and Elle York on target. Chloe
Barker-Duthie netted for Kingfisher in their 1-1 draw with Worcester City Development
whilst Chloe Debaes and Charlotte Dickens gave Rugby Town a 2-0 win at Leamington Lions
and Rugby Borough also won 2-0 against Westfields Women thanks to Emily Davies and
Michelle Oldfield.
