FA Women’s Championship

       Sunderland  held  on  to  the  leadership  of  the  FA  Women’s
       Championship following their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
             With the scoreline goalless at half time, Millie Farrow gave Palace
       the  lead  midway  through  the  second  half  but  the
       Wearsiders hit back for a share of the spoils five minutes
       later. Sunderland are now the last remaining unbeaten
       team in the division after just three matches.
             Four  teams  line  up  a  single  point  behind
       Sunderland,  headed  by  Sheffield  Utd  who  were  3-0
       winners away to Coventry Utd. Lucy Watson scored for
       the second successive game to put the Blades in front,
       before  Courtney  Sweetman-Kirk  netted  twice  to
       complete the scoring ahead of half time.
             London City Lionesses had started the day in
       second place but found themselves being beaten for the
       first time, 1-0 by Lewes. The only goal of the game came  Bristol City’s Ava Akuyten plays the ball
       with just four minutes on the clock, Ini Umotong scoring under pressure from Missy Bo Kearns of
       her second goal in as many matches for the Rookettes.  Liverpool  (Will Cheshire).
             Blackburn  Rovers  notched  up  their  second
       straight home victory when they defeated Watford 3-1, a result which takes them up to
       third place in the fledgling table. Rovers took a two-goal first lead through Jade Richards
       and Natasha Fenton and they sealed the points
