USEFUL INFORMATION

Funding & Facilities
Below is a list of some of the funding streams available to adult clubs, for help and
guidance in accessing any of them you can contact your local Women’s & Girl’s
officer or the organisation directly:

Funding:
Awards for All
Awards for All is a Lottery Grants Scheme aimed at local communities. They award
grants of between £300 and £10,000 for people to take part in art, sport, heritage
and community activities, and projects that promote education, the environment and
health in the local community.

Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) Scheme
This Government initiative allows amateur sports clubs who provide facilities and
promote participation in sport to save money through tax refunds of £28 for every
£100 donated to the club, income tax relief on those donations and 80% rate relief
by registering as a Community Amateur Sports Club. Registration is simple and
can take a matter of weeks to complete.

Sportsmatch
This is a Government initiative to encourage sponsorship for projects aiming to
increase participation in sport at grass roots level, and/or improve basic skills. New
sponsorship, minimum of £1,000 (£500 for schools), is matched by Sportsmatch on
a pound for pound basis.
