Reserves’ winning start

Swindon Town Development 0 - 2 Keynsham Town Reserves
Sunday 5th September 2021
Following their successful promotion to Tier 6 - South West Regional Eastern
Division, the Reserves kicked off their season with a hard fought victory away at
Swindon Town Ladies Development.

The game was evenly contested with Keynsham playing the better football, but
Swindon looking and posing a real threat on the break.

A fantastic 10 minute period of the game by Charlie Morrison, saw her first start
and end the move - following in the rebound of Darcey Banfield's fierce strike - to
score the opening goal in the 75th minute, before producing a fantastic headed
goal line clearance to keep out a certain equaliser!

Vicky Vipond then fired in an excellent second goal with five minutes left, following
great approach play by Fleur Jenkins. Keynsham's whole defence were superb
throughout with Lorna Coates being awarded the Player of the Match award.
