Chichester & Selsey have the chance to take on FA WSL side West Ham United this week in
the Fourth Round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup, following their 2-1 win away to Leyton
       Orient last Sunday.
Chi midfielder Gemma Simmonds is looking forward to taking on their illustrious
opponents, telling Women’s Soccer Scene: “For everyone connected with the club, it is very
exciting to be playing West Ham in the Fourth Round of the FA Cup. With the the
unfortunate stoppages this season and also the league being declared null and void, our aim
was to progress as far as possible in the cup. Obviously we know it’s going to be a tough
game but we don’t want our season to end just yet, we will be looking to give everything we
       can on Sunday.
“As a footballer, you always want to play against the best teams and in the best league
as possible. It is a chance for us to challenge ourselves and I am relishing the prospect of
playing against a WSL team. Hopefully we can perform well and showcase what we are about.
“We will want to ensure we stay focused during the game and try not to get too
carried away with the occasion. Also, we want to try and play the football we know we can
that has helped us be more successful and effective this season. Ultimately we want to enjoy
the game of football because it has been such a great feeling to be back playing again!”

Oxford United have the chance to take on Championship opposition this Sunday, when they
take on Charlton Athletic in the Fourth Round of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup.
The U’s reached this stage with a 3-1 victory over Billericay Town and Carly Johns,
who scored the opening goal in the win, said of the prospect of facing the Addicks: “It will
be a massive challenge; I think we’ve only played a couple of Championship sides in the last
couple of seasons so it will be good to test how far we have come along, so I’m buzzing for
       Sunday.”
“It’ll be really good to challenge ourselves against a Championship side,” added
midfielder Emily Allen. “We have confidence and believe that we should be at that level.
“I think it will be really good, not only to test ourselves at that level but see if we can
       put a good performance in.”
