East Midlands League
Notts County opened up a four point lead at the top of the Premier Division when they won
3-2 away to Basford Utd. Chesterfield and Mansfield Town remain in third and fourth
place respectively after their meeting finished in a goalless draw. Kayleigh Needham was on
target for Anstey Nomads as they shared a 1-1 draw with Rotherham Utd, whose goal
came from Isabel Wretham, whilst strikes from Millie Kenyon, Lucy Ridley and Laura Watton
earned Oughtibridge WM a 3-0 victory at Arnold Eagles.
Division One North leaders Grimsby Town saw their five-match winning run brought
to a halt as they were held to a goalless draw by local rivals Grimsby Borough, but have
extended their advantage to three points as Sleaford Town were beaten 2-1 by
Gainsbrough Trinity, who move above them on goal difference. Amy O'Brien and Emily
Murphy were on target for Trinity, with Paige Wright replying. St Josephs Rockware of
Worksop meanwhile claimed their first victory when they defeated Lincoln Utd
Development 5-1, Stacey Buxton and Deysha Pressley each scoring twice along with an own
goal.
Ilkeston Town have leapt to the top of Division One Central after two second half goals
from Ashleigh Evans steered them to a 2-0 victory away to Notts County Development.
They lead by a single point from three different teams, headed by Nottingham Trent
University after they defeated Mansfield Hosiery Mills 5-2. Eloise Hembrough, Bea
Hembrough, Mia Pinkham, Bailey Sipos and Piper O'Neill all scored a goal apiece for Trent. A
late equaliser from Katie Rogers earned West Bridgford Colts a 1-1 draw against previous
leaders Asfordby Amateurs, who had led through a Sarah Brown goal but are now back in
third, just ahead of Dronfield Town whose match with Sherwood FC Women finished
goalless.
Division One South leaders Northampton Town Development did not play on
Sunday and their advantage was trimmed to four points by Kettering Town after they
defeated Roade Ladies 5-1, Lauren Adams hitting a hat-trick along with Sophie Till and
Samantha Christie. Leicester City Ladies kept up their fast improving form by beating
Peterborough Utd Development 7-0 including a Hollie Handisides hat-trick, with Heidi-
May Beale, Maisy Dalton, Beth Roberts and Lola Barrett adding the others. Emma Aspinall,
Samantha Hargrave, Yasmin Hilton and Nikki Lidgett were all on the scoresheet as Dunton
& Broughton Utd were 4-2 winners away to Loughborough Foxes Vixens.
Eastern Region League
Luton Town remain on course at the top of the Premier Division, preserving their lead of six
points by beating Harlow Town 8-1. Leyah Maddix and Jess McKay both scored hat-tricks
for Luton, with Elizabeth Sanders adding the other two. Evie Creaton netted the only goal of
the game as AFC Sudbury won 1-0 at Bedford Ladies to hold on to second place, just ahead
of Needham Market who defeated Bowers & Pitsea 4-2 thanks to Lois Balfour (2), Mia
Etheridge and Eleanor Rossiter. Stevenage Women follow on in fourth after Amy Makewell
and Kelsey Millen gave them a 2-0 victory over Wroxham. Gemma Croucher was on target
for Royston Town as they battled out a 1-1 draw with Haringey Borough, who scored
through Kylie Manktelow, whilst a Chloe Farrell double and an own goal took Colney Heath
to a 3-2 victory over King's Lynn Town.
In Division One North, AFC Dunstable moved themselves level on points with leaders
Biggleswade Utd by winning 3-1 away to St Ives Town, completing a quickfire double over
their opponents in the process.
The top three in Division One South did not play on Sunday and Lawford made up
ground on them with a 5-1 victory over Cheshunt. Daisy Canny hit a hat-trick for Lawford,
with Georgia Box and Bernice Corney adding the others. Caitlyn Charles (2) and Katherine
Weller were on target for AFC Sudbury Res as they shared a 3-3 draw with Grays Athletic,
