Just the three games were played on Sunday in the Genero Adran Premier and with just four
games left before the end of Phase 1, every point counts in the race for a place in the Phase 2
       Championship division.
Swansea City looked to cement their place in the Championship division, needing just
five points from five games after dispatching Abergavenny Women in midweek. On Sunday
they travelled to Barry Town Utd who also currently occupy the lower half of the table. It was
Barry who had the first chance of the game, being awarded a penalty in the nineteenth minute,
but they couldn’t take the opportunity and while they held on until injury time in the first half,
it was all Swansea after that. Stacey John-Davies and Nia Rees combined for the first two goals,
Rees the provider for John-Davies on the stroke of half time and roles were reversed just after
the break. Nieve Jenkins added a third with a fourth from substitute Monet Legall, John-Davies
getting her second before Shaunna Jenkins added another late on for an emphatic 6-0 win.
Cardiff Met Women and The New Saints are also looking to pick up all important
points as they look to claim a place in the top half of the table. Ellie Preece hit first for the
Archers, with Tija Richardson adding a second midway through the first half. Chantelle Teare
pulled one back for the hosts but they couldn’t find the equaliser and the match finished 2-1 to
Met, cementing them in third place.
At USW, Aberystwyth Town were welcomed by Pontypridd Utd, who are also
fighting with TNS for a place in the Championship Division. It was Ponty who started the
brighter, with several opportunities to take an early lead but the visitors scored first, Gwenllian
Jones slotting home against the run of play. Ponty continued to press, but weren’t able to find
the net in the first half and had to remain patient to see the fruits of their efforts which came
first in the 62nd minute, with Alison Witts
taking her chance and just two minutes PREMIER DIVISION P W D L F A Pts GD
