response and Laurina Fazer latched onto a clever chip from former Chelsea striker Ramona
Bachmann but could not keep her effort down.
Kerr continued to look lively at the other end, creating all sorts of space and proving a
nightmare to mark in and around the box. Captain Magdalena Eriksson came agonisingly
close to doubling their lead before the hour mark, glancing a header narrowly wide of another
       teasing Cuthbert delivery.
A nervy finale ensued with Chelsea’s one-goal advantage still intact, but the Blues
showed excellent game management to protect the lead and secure an important and
       deserved three points.

Wakefield Ladies will play Hull City in the Third Round Qualifying of the Vitality Women’s
FA Cup this Sunday and will approach the match with quiet confidence.
The game will be played at the Millenium Stadium, home to Featherstone Rovers which
       is a 10,000 seater stadium. Tickets at wakefield.mysportstickets.co.uk £3 adults, U16s free.
"What a great occasion for us as a team and a club on the whole,” manager Jordan
Hartley told Women’s Soccer Scene. “We are looking forward to competing with one of the
powerhouses of women’s football within this region.
“On paper it's such a difficult tie. Eighteen months ago, Hull City were in the National
League Northern Premier Division in Tier 3 while we were still trying to get out of Tier 6. But
this is a one game knockout competition, and there is absolutely no pressure on us. Everyone
is expecting Hull to come here and batter us, it's our job to make sure that doesn't happen!"
Wakefield captain Demi Godson insisted: “We are going into this game as the
underdogs, there is no pressure on us. If we stick to our game plan and stay disciplined, I
       believe we have every chance.”
"It's a massive day for us as a team to play a team from the league above us,” added
striker Neve Renwick, who is the team’s leading scorer this season. We are coming into the
game not favourites to win, but we would love to prove them all wrong.”

       Northern Premier Division
One match was played in the division on Sunday, but
it turned out to be a great occasion for third placed
Nottingham Forest as they defeated local rivals
Derby County 3-1 to close the gap on the leaders to three points. In front of an impressive
crowd of 5,082 at the City Ground, the first half was goalless but after the break, in-form
striker Charlotte Greengrass scored twice and Niamh Reynolds added the other to seal a
fifth win in seven matches for Forest, before Keira Barry netted a late consolation goal for
       the Ewes.
       Southern Premier Division
Gillingham lifted themselves out of the bottom two when they won 2-1 away to London
Bees in the division's solitary match. Maddison Chamney-Farrand and Georgia Griffin
were on target for the Gills, whilst the Bees, who would have gone up to fourth place with a
       win, replied through Lisa Milliken.
       Division One North
No matches were played over the weekend but on Wednesday night, leaders Leeds Utd
travelled to York City where the teams battled out a 1-1 draw at the LNER Community
Stadium. Over 2,200 attended the match and saw York take the lead early in the second half
with a fine strike by Jess Holder from the edge of the area. Leeds battled back and Abbie
