from Jade Richards (2), Evie Flint, Katie Jepson, Danielle Pinder, Caitlan Tattershall and
Connie Hibbert. Alesha Gale and Abby Watkinson each netted twice for Millmoor Juniors
Ladies in their 4-2 victory away to Sheffield Utd Community Foundation whilst Melissa
West bagged a hat-trick and Lucy Preston the other for Bradford Park Avenue in their 4-4
draw against Farsley Celtic Juniors, who netted through a Sarah Lawn hat-trick and Shauna
Hill.
North West League
League leaders Salford City Lionesses' hopes of a possible league and cup 'double' were
brought to an end as they were beaten 4-1 by Curzon Ashton in the semi finals of the Argyle
Sports Kit Cup. Curzon's opponents in the Final will be Cheadle Town Stingers who
defeated Fleetwood Town Wrens 3-1.
FC United of Manchester remain in line for a potential two trophies this season and the
Premier Division title challengers swept into the Argyle Sports Kit Plate Final with a twelve-
goal blast against Wythenshawe Amateurs. Ashleigh Hayes led the scoring by netting four
times, Olivia Dixon contributed a hat-trick, Ellie Kelly added a brace and the tally was
completed by Katie O'Gara, Jess Battle and Eve Kennerley. Standing in their way will be
Darwen FC Women who ended the hopes of Blackpool with a 3-0 victory in the other semi
final.
One match was played in the Premier Division, Blackburn Community SC putting a
three point gap between themselves and West Didsbury & Chorlton after winning their
meeting 3-1.
Division One North leaders Haslingden completed their season with a 4-1 victory away
to Penwortham Town and they must now wait to see if their points total will be overhauled
by either Blackpool or Preston North End, who were 4-3 winners over Workington Reds.
Elsewhere, Bolton Wanderers defeated Chorley Women Development 5-0 to maintain
their climb into a mid-table position.
The title race is over in Division One South though, Bury AFC Women finding
themselves in an unassailable position following their 3-0 victory away to Poulton Vics.
Second placed Runcorn Linnets were held to a 5-5 draw by Warrington Wolves
Foundation and this has confirmed Bury as Champions. Ellie Bradley and Imogen Paul
netted the goals as Chester FC Women won 2-0 away to Northwich Vixens and Hindley
Juniors Women ensured they will not finish on the bottom of the table after they defeated
Alder FC Women 2-0, completing a quickfire double over their opponents.
South West League
Weymouth became the first team to take points of newly crowned Eastern Division
champions Pucklechurch Sports this season when they held them to a 1-1 draw. Zara Hunt
scored for Weymouth, to give them a point which takes them off the bottom, while Jess Frazer
was on target for Pucklechurch. AEK Boco did their chances of taking the runners-up spot a
power of good by beating Stockwood Wanderers 6-1. Ilarna Nche and Jess Titcomb each
scored twice for Boco along with Sasha Ferris and Jess Stirling, whilst Stockwood's consolation
came from Rebecca Nash.
The clubs will be playing a couple of end of season cup competitions and there was a
surprise in the Premier Division Cup where Poole Town won 5-4 away to Forest Green
Rovers. Katie Marshallsay (2), Madison Kemp, Amy Maidment and Sacha Paynter scored the
goals for Poole, whilst Rovers' replies came via a Nynka Rucker double, Estelle Randall and
Hattie Jones. The teams in the other three divisions will compete for the Divisional Cup where
SGS Olveston Utd were 3-0 winners over Middlezoy Rovers thanks to an Olivia Hood
double and Jes Fleming. Paulton Rovers also advanced after beating Bideford on a penalty
shootout, after the teams had shared a goalless draw.
