artist whose work she purchased earlier (G. R. Hanan). He
sure has a lot of beautiful scenery to work from.
On the way back we find the map very confusing but stop in a
little town and get some tea. We go to the first place we see – a
real strange place. I guess it is a B & B but what a shabby place.
The old woman who comes when we go in the open door is
hard of hearing and acts like she is surprised anyone is asking
for tea even though her sign says, “Tea Room”. Anyway, she
sits us down and brings tea and little muffins that I see later in
a store so we are sort of disappointed after all the wonderful
variety of scones we have had at other places. M calls it the
“Tea Room from Hell”. We keep our coats on because it is so
chilly even with the little peat fire burning in the fireplace.
We go back a
short
distance to
the turn off
for
Glenveagh
National
Park. We
pass a field
with sheep
and a town
in the
distance.
The water way is one that empties out when the tide is out and
fills up when it is in. We see a lot of places like that later. This
one didn’t seem to have the stranded boats like some do.
