We didn’t wake up until after 9 a.m. after another great night’s
sleep. We get dressed and I put a scarf on my head (gypsy
style) and we go to breakfast. The couple from the bar is there
– they are from Boston and there are several other people from
Boston also. Three at one table are from England. M cringes
and says that the young woman is the one she thought lived at
the B & B when we arrived and she’d asked her to get her
mother. They are at a smaller table with a reserved sign s0
guess they don’t want to associate with the riff raff. The
weather is lousy again.
We decide to drive in a loop through Donegal, north up the
coast and then south to Letterkenny thru the National Park.
We get a late start but can’t get motivated because of the cold,
wind and occasional showers.
We stop at Kenney’s
Knit Shop and M gets
a sweater for her
daughter, Sally. It is
a very pretty grape
wool and I get an
afghan in a brown
and blue plaid. M is
quite upset about
whether to buy the
sweater or not
because she has six kids (all grown up) and she isn’t sure she
should spend so much on one of them. I want to get Lori a
sweater but not sure she could wear that heavy wool so I don’t.
