We drive thru amazing
countryside and stop to
shop at some craft
places. I get my
birthday present in
Donegal Craft Village.
It’s a hand built
porcelain table with a
hutch to match and
two wee benches. The hutch isn’t fired
yet so they will ship the whole thing
(£102) when it’s done. It’s not the
type of thing I usually buy but I fall in
love with the tiny dishes, cakes and
other goodies on the table and in the
hutch. It isn’t colored glaze on it. It is
made with different colors of
porcelain clay.
We go on into Donegal and I get £200 cash on my Master Card.
M sees a painting in a store that she can’t resist – An original
oil. She gets it a little cheaper by buying it sans frame per my
suggestion. We eat at the Centre Hotel – chicken sandwiches
and water. I’m very thirsty. I’d kill for a can of Diet Coke in the
car but will have to wait till later. We spend a bunch at the
“Four Master’s Book Store in Donegal. I get Celtic T-shirt, 3
gold pins, 2 ceramic pins, birthday cards etc. (£40).
