Near Sligo we go to Dromahair by accident

and visited a castle (Parke Castle on Lough

Gill). We are looking for the tourist center

and end up at the

restored castle

where we both

got the senior

citizen rate (a
first for me!) We

really just want to
use the restroom

but the uniformed woman says we

have to pay admission, see the slide

show and have tea and scones in

the stable. All-Righty then! We

have to pee pretty badly so we pay.

I suspect she feels bad taking our money (£.75) for a pit stop so

that’s why I get the discount too – at least that’s what I tell

myself. We see the slide show about Ireland’s National

Monuments and prehistoric ruins.

We are going to

Carrowmore later in

the trip but after seeing

the show we decided to

pass on hunting more

stones. We drive on to

Inniscrone where M’s

daughter-in-law’s

mother was born.
