Now it was time for my dinner. The ‘hoomans’ had already had lunch
at the Donkey Sanctuary so now they tucked into the cream tea that
the nice people who owned the cottage had left for them. A Cornish
Cream tea of course - jam on the scone first with cream on top. They
are very particular about this in Cornwall. I think it is a law that you
have to obey or you might get arrested.
The rest of the time was taken up with putting everything away and making it look as ‘untidy’ as
possible. You know as well as I do that we don’t really do tidy.
That was the end of the first day. My bed was at the side of Uncle Mark’s bed and we both
slept very well.
MEVAGISSEY - WHERE THE SEAGULLS HAVE ATTITUDE
What’s the plan for the day? Well, looking out of the window, it didn't look too encouraging.
We had already decided that we would go to Mevagissey; the main draw for this seemed to be
Cornish ‘Patsy’. It was still misty and a bit damp when we went in to a shop. I think I misheard -
it was a pasty not Patsy. It smelled good but no crumbs, not even for a little dog.
