In Memoriam
Judith Margaret Nott
25th January 1947 ~ 10th November 2022

Judith was born in Doncaster, Yorkshire. She was
proud of her grandfather, a miner and a gi ed
cornet player, and her great-grandmother, a
Methodist teacher. She was also proud to be the
daughter of a soldier, Harold Callaby. The family
spent me in Germany and, a er leaving the army,
Harold became a prison officer in Portland, a place
which Judith loved.

Judith's dreams of becoming a professional ballet
dancer were dashed by a diagnosis of epilepsy; she went on to work
with special needs children. She met and married Malcolm Davey and
had a son, Richard. Sadly the marriage did not last and, back with her
parents in Portland, she met a local detec ve, Tony No . They married
in 1982 and moved to Christchurch. She successfully formed a family
unit with Tony, her son Richard and Tony's children, Catherine and
James. Her family were her greatest love.

She bore her debilita ng illness with courage and a strong Chris an
faith. She took what came, without complaint, like the soldier's
daughter she was. She will be greatly missed by friends and family.
