“Any Questions”?
Do come and hear David Williams
“The Bible in the 2020’s –
Reflections on its current Use and Interpretation”
Swanage United Reformed Church, 112 High Street, Swanage
Tuesday 14th November
Doors open at 6.30 pm (coffee/tea) presentation from 7 pm
In this talk David Williams will examine the changing ways in which we
now engage with Scripture; outline recent trends in scholarly
interpretation; and offer suggestions as to the key essentials for
understanding the Bible better and communicating
its message more effectively.
David read theology at King’s College London in the 1960’s to which he
later returned for post-graduate studies in the New Testament. Despite
pursuing a non-academic career, he has retained a lifelong interest in
Biblical studies as a lay preacher and is keen that the Bible should be
open and intelligible for everyone using all the modern means
available, and not be just the preserve of scholars.
Do join us - we look forward to welcoming you.
