P. 5

It is important that we remember that God’s time is different from
ours. Although at times it seemed impossible, we have seen the

destruction of the Berlin wall, the end of apartheid in South Africa
and a fragile peace in Northern Ireland.

I came across this poem by Michael Mitten recently, which
reminded me that God is a loving Father who ultimately brings
healing and justice. When all else fails, we can still turn to Him with
       hope.

       God of Hope
There is a God whose light shines in every darkness
There is a God who hears every lament
There is a God who transforms even the deepest grief
       Therefore, you have hope:
You shall sing again, but with a different tune
You shall dance again, but with a different step
You shall laugh again, but with a different breath
       Not yet, but one day,
For there is a God who heals your wound
       with the gentlest hand.
                                                                         Anne
