Update:
Besom in Purbeck

It will be September by the time you read this and
families will be returning home to prepare for schools
reopening, hopefully refreshed after their stay here in
busy Swanage. We at Besom will be glad that traffic will
be reduced and we are able to reach those far-flung
places in our region more easily, but especially negotiating
the streets of Swanage and accessing Wareham and Corfe
without the frustration of getting caught in long queues!

We made the decision to close for a week in August as we
were very short of volunteers, Paul and I were away too,
but it fitted well with Rotary requesting the use of the
van for their annual fete.

Thank you so much to all of you who have donated recently
– we are so grateful. The need sadly never ceases and we
hear regularly of terribly sad stories of folks left home-
less and destitute - these are folks of any age.

Because we have a full store currently – 5 sofas to date (is
there a sofa sale on somewhere!?) we have decided not to
collect any further items for the foreseeable future, only
to continue with deliveries. However, by the time you read
this we might be in a different position! Please ring the
Besom number to check.
