WAREHAM UNITED REFORMED CHURCH

On Sunday 28 July, the United
Reformed Church in Wareham welcomed
an unusual congregation.
In place of the usual 10.30 am morning
worship, there was a Pet Blessing service
and all were welcome.
The service was led by the Revd. Kersten
Kirkland, a friend and member of the
church. It is not known if this little chap

filled with 10 dogs,
2 cats and 2 rats; along with their human
companions!
All were extremely well behaved and the
service included an opportunity for each
animal to receive an individual blessing.
Refreshments followed the service
where everyone socialised over
coffee, cake and dog treats!
It was a memorable event which
can hopefully be repeated in the
future.
