ER: Oh well, I would love to be there, and I know it's going to happen. We just need
to work on that, and I'll be there. You know, I enjoyed so much a few years ago, when
I went on a little tour in Italy, people were super open. I had a great reception. They
were even asking me to sing more in Spanish. It just was beautiful. So I can't wait to
go and go over there to the UK. That will be a dream.
BiTS: Evelyn, I won't take up too much more of your time. One of the things that I
have learned over the years of doing these interviews is that the longer I talk to
somebody, the longer it takes to transcribe. So I'm going to thank you so much for
doing those station IDs for me. They're absolutely terrific. I love them.
ER: Well, first of all, I'm the one who has to say thank you so much for your interest
in my music, for letting your people listen to my music. This is payback. Thank you
so much.
BiTS: Some years ago, I did a radio show in which I tried to incorporate blues music
sung in languages from all around the world. There were about 15 different countries
that I had music from, and the Spanish ones always attracted me because, as you said,
when we were first talking, there's a lot of emotion and a lot of rhythm in it, and people
are more inclined to dance, I think, to that.
ER: Well, that's good. You know, Europe is definitely more open to listen to the
different versions, definitely and I appreciate it, yes.
BiTS: Okay, well, I won't take any more of your time, Evelyn. Thank you very much
indeed for talking to me. It's been absolutely fascinating, and good luck in whatever
you're doing at the moment.
ER: Thank you so much and I'm here, and whatever I can do, you know, I'll be happy.
If you have a, I don't know, special something going on over there, I’ll maybe just go
there and sing over there for you.
BiTS: Okay, you have a great rest of the day.
ER: You too. Thank you so much.
BiTS: Thank you. Bye.
