BiTS: I won't take very much more of your time, Mark, because one of the things that I've learned
over time is that the longer interviews are, the longer they take to transcribe. Let me ask you
one more question though, if I were to ask you where would you like to be in five years' time,
what would the answer be?
MS: Well, I would like to be playing music full-time. I'm doing that part-time now, but I have
plans to retire at some point from my day job and would like to be touring a little bit and
hopefully playing some music festivals, particularly blues-inspired festivals.
BiTS: Have you got a family at the moment?
MS: Yes, sir. I've got three kids that we raised here in San Antonio and in Arkansas and San
Antonio. And then I've got six grandchildren.
BiTS: Six grandchildren? You’ve got more than me.
MS: Yeah. Yeah. And we spend a lot of time together, and they're all into sports and the other
activities I do are kind of sports-related. So we have a good time with everyone.
BiTS: Anyway, Mark, I won't take any more of your time. Thank you very much indeed for
talking to me..
MS: Okay. Hey, thank you. Thank you again, Ian, thank you for sharing my music and all that. I
appreciate it.
BiTS: I shall be playing some more on the air before very long because I think it's fabulous.
MS: Well, thank you. Thank you. And I look forward to helping you out in any way, so just let
me know.
BiTS: That's wonderful. Thanks very much indeed, Mark. Bye.
MS: Yeah. Take care. Bye-bye.
