British Bluesman wins Best Unplugged

During his recent Westival Sunday appearance at the West End Centre Aldershot,
Bluesman Mike Francis received his 2022 Best Unplugged Act Award from the UK Wrinkly
Rockers Club. Seen here accepting the accolade from Adam Buttery of the WRC, Mike was
said to report that he was absolutely delighted to get the award in this the Autumn of his

career, against such amazing young talent. Also, that as a purely public vote it was a great
honour and thanked everyone who voted and the WRC organisation for all their valuable
work.

Former European Blues Awards Best Solo/Acoustic finalist and participant in BBC6 Music
Festival Liverpool 2019, Bluesman Mike Francis toured the UK as special guest on the Big
Boy Bloater tour in 2022. This included a gig at London’s 100 Club where after 45 years

on the road it was his first time on that iconic stage. Currently working on new material
for release later in 2023 he is very much looking forward to spreading the message further
and engaging more audiences with his very own brand of New Era Blues.
