we started doing it and then when we met Taj, he said he hoped that we would have
the album when we met him over at Bishopstock.

MS: Yeah.

BP: At the blues festival there. Luckily, we had it.

MS: Yeah.

MS: Yeah, well, I remember on the occasion, we had met Taj, as we've said before.
So Helen came out to me from the castle, you know, at Bishopstock.

BP: The palace.

MS: The palace, rather, whatever, and so we
were doing a gig in one of the events and Helen
came out and said to me, quite imperiously, she

said, you know Taj, she said, would you please
come in and entertain him? He has to wait for

some time, so if you’d come in and chat with
him. So that was no problem. We were very
privileged to do so.

BP: We did know him.

MS: We did know him, and we were sitting in
the kitchen just chatting with him, but I

thought you might be amused as we were
sitting there, and we had just the night prior to
that met Booker T & the MG’s, and we’d met
them all and that was very nice. So then there

was a light knock on the kitchen door as myself
and Brian and Taj were chatting and who

arrived at the door only Booker T with the MGs.

BP: Duck Dunn, Steve Cropper.

MS: So I opened the door and welcomed them in, but the bizarre thing was, and this

is true, I kind of was looking, expecting them to know each other very well, and then
I kind of realised that they didn't, and I said, oh, Taj, Booker T, you know each other,
of course, and they said, well, they'd never met. And you know, this is the way the

road goes sometimes, you're ships passing in the night, and you don't get to meet
each other. I had a pinch me moment as I said, well Booker T!

I'm going to say that it was a period of time that we had a very, very good electric

band and we played a great gig and it worked really well for us and it was entirely
thrilling, and we met up with Van Morrison we met with as we say, Booker T, we met
with Taj again.
