one song of just the two of them, took three takes. But then, equally, Mary Coughlan,
another Irish vocalist, she did a dual vocal on ‘Cravin’ A Man Blues’, so we dropped

was Liam O'Maonlaı́. He definitely came in, and one session he overdubbed tin
whistle, Irish harp, bodhrán , harpsichord. He sang…..
MS: He’s a wonderful musician.
BP: One fellow overdubbed on one of the kind of Celtic-y-sounding ones with a

BiTS: That's absolutely fabulous. Listen, I could probably go on talking to you for
the rest of the day. Anyway I'll be making “Hometown Blues” my album of the week
next week. I'm just about to make the show for next week so that's going to be three
or four tracks that'll be in the next acoustic show that I do. Thank you both very, very
much for speaking to me. Brian, I have to say that your accent is now Irish, in case
you didn't know it.
MS: Yes. And we are all grateful. It has taken forty years, but it's fine. We've finally
made him Irish.
BP: [Laughing] Thank you. I'll take that as a compliment, Ian.
BiTS: I'm not going to say any more. Thanks for talking to me.
MS: We will say no more.
BiTS: Bye then. Bye.
MS: Bye. Bye-bye.
