of the jewel case and reading the details from the booklet or the inserts on
Bair to identify the music and the musicians. THOSE DAYS ARE GONE.
Now it is all on databases which are constructed by the DJ or sometimes the radio
station. It is not unusual to received CDs that are inadequately ‘tagged’. If they are
like that, in a week’s time, no one knows what the music is or who the musicians
are. That may also lead to the complete rejection of the recording for airplay and at
its worst might lead to a loss of income from royalties for the musician(s).
Here are a few insights to the tagging process which may help you in your endeavours.
