We salute Soror Fatina Gaston as a 75 Year Member of the Rocky Mount Alumnae Chapter.

Soror Gaston's journey in Delta began on April 30, 1947, into the Gamma Lambda Rho Chap-
ter on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University. She pursued a career with the Depart-

ment of Social Services In New York City and later retired from the agency. Rocky Mount be-
came home again for Soror Gaston, where she then joined with her sisters of the Rocky

Mount Alumnae Chapter. She held the positions of Sergeant-at-Arms, and chairperson of the

Mental Health and Social Action committees. Soror Gaston was instrumental in representing
the chapter on the Rocky Mount Mental Health Board, and for many years, organized the an-

nual Operation Santa Claus drive. As Social Action chair, she spearheaded the chapter's ef-

forts to support the Unity Cemetery Clean-up.
