❖ A brief overview of the project
Project title: Inventory optimization of Nivea India supply
chain

My project was closely inter-linked to the ongoing work in
the supply chain department. They were facing some
challenges in implementation of a new module called
aSAS(advanced safety stock module) in SAP. The major
objective of my project was to study the working of aSAS
module and analyse it’s impact on our overall inventory
levels.

Other major part of my project was to develop a scientific
. technique for demand forecasting of New Product
Introductions(NPIs)

❖ How is a normal day at the Internship?

Internship days can be full of fun or high on stress as well.
GENERAL INFORMATION
A typical working day at Nivea starts at 9am, while there’s

❖ What are the challenges faced during Inter nship?

1. Clarifying the objectives behind the project deliverables can be a challenge at times. The tasks at hand are

alien to us and we are expected to deliver in short duration of time.

2. Getting information from cross functional teams can get really difficult at times. Other departments might

not understand your point of view and dearth of time that we are dealing with.

3. Staying focused on your project deliverables while a lot of mundane work is being offloaded to us. This can
get extremely demanding at times

4. The biggest challenge of all is to prove to the higher management, that the work done by us adds value to

the organization. Making the final presentation, digging out valuable insights from your work and adding

that business sense to the ppt takes a toll on you.
