PPO Diaries
• Review your work every day (Prepare a daily work tracker/ppt): You can expect to encounter lots of
different facts, figures, and technical terms. Be sure to make a note of anything important that comes
up and go over them when you are home at the end of every day.
❖ What pre-internship preparation do you suggest for juniors?
• Connect with alums and seniors who interned in the company you are having internship at. Try to know
about different teams, people to connect and various ongoing projects and related tools and
technologies they are working upon.
• Do a thorough research about the company, specifically for people interning in FMCG and E-commerce
companies, read about the various product offerings.
• Get hands on basic tools including Excel or other Data visualization tools (eg- Tableau, PowerBI). Brush
up your statistics concepts. Knowledge of R or Python can do wonders specifically for people with data
analytics and optimization related projects.
• Work on soft skills, leadership skills and writing mails in corporate environment.
❖ Anything else you would like to add
One should just try to give his/her best in every possible way and keeping worries about final offers aside enjoy
every moment of the internship experience because these two months would really be very exciting. Don’t let
the PPO expectations and fears ruin the 2 months. It might involve a lot of external factors that may not be
comprehensible to us at that stage. So, you do your work with utmost integrity and with an ownership mindset,
and you will be rewarded with the best.
All the very best!
