❖ A brief overview of the project
Pidilite follows a pull supply chain wherein the final planning
of fulfilment and production is governed by concepts of
Theory of Constraints. Company was facing the problem of
Wrong Sales Orders. Wrong sales order leads to unnecessary
stock movement, which causes ageing at one location and
stockouts at other location. Objective was to identify these
wrong orders and mitigate them before execution.
❖ How is a normal day at the Internship?
For the company’s employees it’s business as usual, but for
the interns every day is a new challenge in terms of getting
the right people to talk to completely understand the project,
DIVIJ GUPTA getting relevant data, implementation experts, clients etc. In
a single day, you’ll learn a lot at the company and challenge
PIDILITE would be to assimilate the learnings into your project.

GENERAL INFORMATION ❖ What are the challenges faced during Internship
Major challenge is to decipher the requirements of the
Batch: PGDIM 25 project and pin-point the deliverables. Sometimes interns
start in the wrong direction and continue without getting the
B.Tech: YMCA University
relevant feedback, wasting a lot of precious time. Next
Stream: EEE challenge is to get the relevant data and insights for your
project. It’s very easy to get lost in the ton of data you’ll be
Work Ex: TCS given. And sometimes, well, the fight would be to get that
data.
❖ What did you do right and what did you do wrong?
I was very structured in my approach. I had a diary, in which I made short notes of all the conversations,
meetings and ideas I had in the day. It makes it very easy to recall things and formulate your solution and
especially helps while making the final presentation and report.
There’s a saying …..Your work speaks for itself and believe me It speaks, but through a ppt. So, on the top of
exemplary work, you need to ideate and present it very succinctly highlighting the business case and the impact
of your solution, rather than focusing too much on the solution itself. Put yourself in the shoes of you CEO and
imagine what he’d want to hear, and then prepare the flow of your presentation. Because it will be a make or
break.
Practice your presentation with your project buddy, guide, and team member, seek feedback and make
appropriate changes to presentation.
