Notes

1. The skeletal muscles that are attached to the bones of skeletal system (such as
the bones of fingers, legs, arms and other body parts) contract and relax to allow
these bones to move.
2. The muscle can only exert force when it contracts.

3. The contraction of muscles moves the bones in one direction only.

4. The skeletal muscles are often work in pairs and move in opposite directions as
shown in the previous example.
