* The Medical Council of Canada must do an ECA for your primary medical diplom a if
your primary occupation is specialist physician (NOC 3111) or general practition er/family
physician (NOC 3112)
** If you need a license to practice as a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Examining Boa rd of
Canada must do an ECA for your education. This applies if you ’re caring for patients in:
a hospital pharmacy,
long term care facility
community pharmacy
other practice settings
Contact the regulatory body in the prov ince where you plan to live to find ou t if you
need a license to practice. If you don’t, WES is prob ably you r best choi ce.
Most Canadian immigration candidates choos e Wor ld Education Services (WES) as
their designated ECA organization because they are the fastest.
